At First Glance Name: Damien Delacroix Age: Fifteen Gender: Male Residency: East
Keeping Up Appearances Hair: Blond Eyes: Pale blue Overall: Damien's appearance is quite unpredictable. His true height is five feet five inches; however, he likes to wear shoes with a heel on them to make himself look taller. Well, to try to, at least. He has short blond hair with long bangs that pretty much frame his face, and he is often mistaken for a girl with short hair. He doesn't take this like some boys would. No, he actually adores being called a 'girl', even to the point of cross dressing to formal parties and such. Damien doesn't have the best eye sight in the world, and he should wear glasses. However, being stubborn as he is, the boy refuses wear the prescription glasses his eye doctor gave him. He claims that they are ugly, unattractive, and that the glare hides his eyes. At least his eye sight hasn't gone down too much to where he is legally blind.
Behind The Mask Likes: Sweet foods, sour foods, rain, clouds, full moons, rolling in the grass, shopping, Victorian-styled clothing, and French food. Dislikes: Spicy foods, cleaning, work in general, being ignored, being alone, dark rooms, intimidating people (a phobia of his), thunder (another phobia of his), being alone (yet another phobia of his). Personality: There are two sides to Damien's personality. Those sides are the Strangers side and the Friends and more sides. The personality he shows around most strangers is, summed up in one word, aloof. He has a deep distrust in most people he has not known for at least a month, sometimes even five months. It normally depends on the vibe someone gives off. Those who he meet are normally shown a scowl and harsh words. Those who decide to ignore that and try to get to know him are often shown harsh words yet in a more sarcastic or teasing tone. The side he shows around his friends and those he has known most of his life is completely unlike what he shows with strangers. He keeps a smile plastered on his face most of the time, and there isn't a single harsh word, unless provoked. He is generally kind and a bit protective over those he holds close to his heart, and he would die for friends and family. When the boy is left all alone, which is a phobia of his, he tends to break down the 'happiness and sunshine' wall of his and begin crying, for he is still not over the death of his mother and how his father will sometimes beat him if he tries to sing. History: Damien was born on the East side of Cordero in the middle class. His mother was a songstress, and he would always listen to his mother. On days that his mother didn't have work, she would give him voice lessons in hope of him becoming a singer when he grows older. His father, however, was a businessman and disagreed with his wife's wish for him to become a singer. You see, his father wasn't the kindest of men. He believed that men should take the business career instead of singing, dancing, and doing anything else that involved the arts. Despite his father's wished, Damien continued on the path of a singer through his childhood while he was home schooled.
His father didn't like coming home from a long day of work to his wife teaching his son how to sing. When the boy was seven, his mother and father started arguing, and his father would come home late at night every now and again, drunk. When he turned ten, his father started beating his mother. The beatings were light at first, but they soon grew worse and worse. Damien would lie awake at night, just listening helplessly to his parents fighting and his mother's cries. What bothered him was how his mother always acted like nothing had ever happened each night, though he would sometimes find his mother crying alone in the living room. When the boy turned fourteen, his father's beatings hospitalized his mother. This took a toll on the boy mentally, so he began locking himself in his room, completely ignoring his father's demands for him to open the door. A few months later, his mother passed away. His father forced him to go to East Cordero High School, no matter what the boy used as an excuse. After a few weeks of putting up a wall between him and everyone else, he finally decided it was high time for him to at least try and get his old life back, even if his father now beats him for trying to sing every now and again. Damien is now fifteen and still has yet to get over his past and, well, present. He is actually one of the few who support Romeo's and Juliet's decision, even it he never actually met the pair.
